You need a dedicated app to customize your home screen in style! This is the definitive version of the dress-up app that has all the dress-up materials!
Customize your home screen with widgets, stylish and functional! I will tell you how to set up easy and stylish widgets from my experience I have tried more than 50 different widget apps. Here’s a guide for iPhone widget customization!
What is a “Widget”?
A widget is a feature that allows you to pin frequently used information to your home screen! For example, you can pin weather forecast info on your home screen, so that you don’t need to open the weather app to check it.
You can add widgets without downloading any apps if they are already installed on your iPhone, but the scope of design customization is limited, so I recommend using a specialized widget app.
The difference in design customizability between pre-installed apps and Specialized widget apps
As you can see, widgets for pre-installed apps are simple, but they may not be enough to make your home screen stylish, since they do not allow much freedom in design changes.
Using a specialized widget app, you can customize it to match your wallpaper and overall atmosphere, as shown on the right!
Open the app, tap the "+" button and select "Widget".
Select one of the three widget sizes (Small/Medium/Large) and choose the design of the widget you wish to set.
FYI : WidgetClub has photo, clock, calendar, weather, date, reminder, anniversary (e.g. 100th day since we started dating), countdown (3 days to our 2 year anniversary), and battery functions!
On the widget editing screen, you can freely select the color, font, and background image.
After editing the widget, tap "Set", followed by "Widget Setting Frame". (It is useful to remember the size and number of the widget frame you set. Our example is Medium #6.)
Go back to the Home screen and press and hold the empty space until the apps jiggle
Tap the "+" button in the upper left or right corner of the screen.
A search box will appear, type "Widgetclub" and tap it.
Find the widget you want to set and Tap the “Add Widget” button.
(The widget comes in three sizes, S/M/L, and you can set up 20 frames for each! The larger sizes are located on the far right side, so if you set a larger size widget, move to the far right side to add it)
Done! You finally add a widget to your home screen!
