You can customize your iPhone home screen aesthetic with widgets & aesthetic app icons! By using widgets, all kinds of information, such as weather information and calendar, can be displayed as widgets on the home screen. Here’s the easiest way to customize your iPhone home screen!
As you can see in the images below, you can make a simple, minimalist home screen as well as aesthetic, beautiful home screen. You can change app icons, and place frequently viewed information as widgets on the home screen.
In this article, we will show you how even beginners can easily customize your home screen as you like!
Actually, no special application is needed if the widget is a stock application provided by APPLE , but If you want to customize widgets more to your liking, you will need to download the dedicated App for customization.
After trying over 50 different customization apps, I recommend an app called “WidgetClub”.
With WidgetClub, all widgets, icons, and wallpapers are all-in-one packages, so you can easily change them without the hassle of collecting materials for customization. In this article, we will show you how to customize your home screen using WidgetClub.
1.Get WidgetClub app
2.Open WidgetClub App and Tap “+” button and Select “Widget”
3.Please select the widget size from 3 sizes of widgets in S,M,L, and select one from various kinds of widgets.
4.Edit screen will be displayed, you can choose the photos, background color, text color, and font for the widget.
(For example, I select the back ground image, font and font color.)
5.Please tap “next” after customizing the widget, and move to “Share” screen. you can edit the visibility settings etc.
(You can post and share this widget with users in WidgetClub or closed community, or only for yourself. Select "Draft" if you want to use it yourself.)
6.Go to the "Profile" page, the widget you created will be added to the "Collection" tab, so tap the widget.
7.Tap one space of the widget setting slots to set the widget.
(There are 20 available widget slots for each of S, M, and L.)
8.Go back to the Home screen and press and hold the empty space until the apps jiggle. Then Tap the “+” button in the upper left corner.
(Depending on the model, it may appear in the upper right corner.)
9. Search for and select ”WidgetClub”
10.A list of candidate widgets will appear. Select the widget you set, and tap the "Add Widget" button at the bottom.
(Starting with the smallest widget, the 20 widgets are displayed for each size in order from left to right. Large widgets like M, L are displayed on the right side, so you need to swipe to move to the right. You can move faster by using the ... symbol pointed by this yellow arrow!)
11.Done!The widget is added to the home screen!
Let’s move on to the next! You can change app icons to your images you like. This will be set up using the "Shortcut" application, which has been available since iOS 14 and above. It takes time and effort because you need to change app icon one by one. (After this explanation, we will also tell you how to customize icons all at once without using a shortcut app. But basically it’s better to use shortcut app to change app icons , so let's learn how to use shortcut applications first.)
All images in your “photo” app can be used as app icons, and also you can get icons for free or for a fee from 3k+ app icon designs with WidgetClub!
Use the Shortcuts app, which is always included on iPhones with iOS 14 or higher. “Shortcuts” app is a service that allows you to automate an action by setting a rule.
1.Open “shortcut” app and Tap the “+” button in the upper right corner
2.Tap the "Add Action" button
3.Search for and select "open app" in search bar.
4.Tap on 'App' and Search and select the app you want to set
5.optional: name this shortcut(If your iPhone OS is iOS15, name the shortcut)
6.Tap share button, then Tap “Add to Home Screen”
7.Tap the icon next to the shortcut name, then Select “Choose Photo” and select the image you want to set as an app icon.
8.You can also change shortcut name which displayed as text below the app icon.
example: You can also change the font like this.(Tiktok —>𝕋𝕚𝕜𝕋𝕠𝕜)
9.After you finish editing, Tap “Add” in the upper right corner.
10.Done! New app icon you set is added to your home screen!(In iOS 15, it will be added after you tap “Done” button in shortcut app.)
11.Please repeat this for each app icons!
Please note that when you change the app icon, the notification batch in the upper right corner that used to appear with the regular app icon will no longer be displayed!

Here's how to remove the original app from your home screen after changing the app icon!
1.Press and hold the app icon until the icon shakes, then tap the gray minus button that appears in the upper left corner of the app.
2.Tap "Remove from Home Screen”
(Don’t tap "Delete App", because that would be the same as uninstalling it!)
