Is it Possible to Auto-Align for Icons?

In the past, some devices had an "auto-align" feature that automatically filled gaps when you uninstalled an app. However, this feature is no longer available on most devices 😢. As a result, if you want to keep your home screen tidy, you’ll need to manually organize your icons.

Tip 1: Move App Icons Manually

  1. Hold down the app you want to move on the home screen.
  2. Drag it to the desired location and release.

Tip 2: Create Folders

  1. Hold downone app icon and drag it over another app you want to group with.
  2. A folder will automatically be created. You can also rename the folder as you like.

Tip 3: Hide Unused Apps

  1. Hold downthe app icon you want to hide from the home screen.
  2. Select Remove. This will hide the app from your home screen, but it will still be available in your app drawer.

*Note: Make sure not to accidentally tap Uninstall, which will delete the app entirely.

Tip 4: Not Adding New Apps to the Home Screen

You can prevent newly installed apps from being automatically added to it. This way, only frequently used apps will appear on your home screen, reducing the need for constant rearranging.

  1. Tap “Home Screen” on the Settings app.
  2. Turn off Add new apps to the Home Screen.
