How to Reset Your iPhone Home Screen

If your iPhone's home screen has become cluttered with too many widgets and folders, it might be a good idea to reset the home screen layout and start fresh.

This only resets the layout of the home screen, so don't worry—your apps, photos, and other data won't be deleted.

How to Reset to the Default Layout

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap “General”.

3. Tap “Transfer or Reset iPhone”.
4. Tap “Reset”.

5. Select “Reset Home Screen Layout”.
6. Confirm by tapping “Reset Home Screen”.

What Happens When You Reset the Home Screen Layout?

• Your wallpaper will stay the same.
• Folders will disappear.
• Widgets will return to their default state.
• All your downloaded app icons will appear alphabetically on the home screen (their arrangement will also be reset).
