When you have multiple favorite wallpapers, family photos, or pet pictures, do you struggle to decide which one to set as your wallpaper? Good news for such people! This time, I'll introduce in detail how to set multiple wallpapers on iPhone and how to switch between them.
Multiple wallpapers can be specified on iPhone!
If you're an iPhone user, you've been able to set multiple wallpapers since iOS 16 and above!
Lock Screen
If multiple wallpapers are set, they can be randomly switched at any time (every time you tap, when locked, hourly, daily). Also, by using "Focus mode", you can automatically switch at specified times or days of the week.
Home Screen
You can't set multiple wallpapers for the home screen, like the lock screen. However, you can use the lock screen's "Photo Shuffle" feature to switch various wallpapers on the home screen in sync with the lock screen!
How to use "Photo Shuffle" to switch between multiple wallpapers by tapping the lock screen
- Hold down on the lock screen.
- Tap the "+" button next to Customize.
- Select "Photo Shuffle" from the displayed options.
- Tap "People, Nature, City categories" or "Album".
- Select "Shuffle Frequency" to determine how often the images are displayed. You can choose from "On tap, On lock, Hourly, or Daily”.
- Tap "Select Photos Manually".
- Tap "All" to view all photos.
- Select the photos or images you want to set as wallpaper. You can choose up to 50.
- After selection, tap "Add" in the upper right.
Adjust the size on the preview screen
A preview screen will be displayed, adjust the size as needed.
- When "Pinch to Crop" appears, use two fingers to adjust the size.
- Adjustment is complete, tap "Add" in the upper right corner.
After the second wallpaper, you can adjust the wallpaper in one of the following ways
- Tap "Tap to Preview" on the screen.
- Tap the "6 squares in a row" mark in the lower left corner.
Choose whether to sync with the home screen
In the end, choose whether to sync the home screen with the lock screen. If you want the home screen to be a random image in conjunction with the lock screen, choose from the following
- If you prefer the home screen to be blurry: Tap "Set as Wallpaper Pair".
- If you want the home screen to display the same picture as the lock screen: "Customize home screen" → Turn off "Blur" in the lower right corner and tap "Done".
Note that if you select "Customize Home Screen" and switch to a different photo, the home screen will be fixed and will not be randomly displayed!
