Is it Possible to Disable the Camera on the Lock Screen?

However, with iOS 18, you can now hide the camera icon or even replace it with another function!

How to Prevent Accidental Camera Activation

If you want to keep the camera on your lock screen but prevent accidental activation, here are two settings you can adjust to reduce the chances of unintentionally turning on the camera.

1. Turn off "Raise to Wake"

This feature wakes the screen when you lift your phone. Turning it off will reduce accidental camera activations when you're handling your phone.

  1. Tap “Display & Brightness” on the Settings app.
  2. Toggle OFF “Raise to Wake”.
